At Kaikoura Wilderness Experience and Puhi Peaks Station, we are keen to provide opportunities for people to volunteer their time to learn various aspects of our operations, with a view to a potential career in eco-tourism or biodiversity at either Puhi Peaks or other locations. Whether your interest lies in trapping, walk guiding, hunting guiding, trail and track development, land management or biodiversity, there are many opportunities to spend time at Puhi Peaks developing your skills and abilities and aligning with us as permanent and part time employment opportunities open up.

TRANSPORTATION
Kaikoura is easily accessibly within a 2hr 15min drive from Christchurch on SH1 through the beautiful Waipara wine valley and Cheviot.
The Mt Lyford Inland Route 70 road from Waiau to Kaikōura is open 24/7 and provides direct access from the West Cost or from Nelson via the picturesque Lewis Pass. From Picton we are 2.5 hours and Blenheim 2 hours along the SH1 coastal road, offering stunning panoramic views of the coastline.
Once in Kaikoura, our local road transport partner Kaikoura Shuttles (www.kaikourashuttles.co.nz) can provide a variety of road transport options to Puhi Peaks and Kaikoura Helicopters, a division of GCH Aviation (www.kaikourahelicopters.com) and South Pacific Helicopters (www.southpacifichelicopters.co.nz) are our aviation transfer partner.
