Valley of Feathers Walk

Valley of Feathers Walk

Valley of Feathers Features

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the Valley of Feathers, a haven for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts.

Our guided walk meanders through a tapestry of farmland, bush and beech forest, showcasing an array of native flora including stands of kanuka, manuka and fern, with specimens of Matai, Totara and Rimu.

As we ascend to Totara Saddle, the sounds of birdsong fill the air, and the landscape unfolds to reveal stunning views from the mountains to the sea.

Enjoy your picnic lunch here before we make our descent slowly through regenerating native bush, and discover the resilience of nature and the changes that have occurred in the landscape since the Kaikoura Earthquake.

Our journey concludes with an afternoon tea back at the woolshed – a perfect finale to a day immersed in the beauty of Puhi Peaks.
